The recently released mega-budget entertainer RRR directed by SS Rajamouli has been making it rain money since its release. Starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn, the film which was well received by both the critics and audience alike has quickly proven itself to be a major money-maker. Collecting an impressive Rs. 75.57 crore after just 3 days of being released at theaters across India (opening weekend), RRR’s commercial success continued to thrive on Day 4 as well – while managing to collect another Rs. 15.02 crore on Tuesday (Day 5). With these numbers put together, it is clear that this monster movie has already grossed past 100 crores!
Collectively, over 107 crores were earned by RRR – enough to make it the 97th film ever to enter the Rs. 100 crores club. In addition to this milestone, with RRR surpassing Rs. 100 crores- Ram Charan and Jr. NTR will also be able to add Rs. 100 Crore Club Member to their résumés alongside fellow superstars Farhan Akhtar (3 films), Anil Kapoor (4 films), Arjun Kapoor (2 films) among many others who’ve been privileged enough to reach such heights in just one single project! Furthermore- interestingly enough – with both of these Bollywood stars joining the Rs. 100 crores club at the same time they’ll be only 2nd and 3rd male members of this exclusive club; preceding them was veteran actor Anupam Kher with his debut release The Kashmir Files last year.
Going forward, it is expected for this film that has captured the attention of audiences to gross over Rs. 150 crores in upcoming days. With a large-scale release, high review scores and strong word-of-mouth from audiences, there are predictions that its earnings will continue to increase at an exponential rate
