The SS Rajamouli directed RRR which was released on Friday last week, has been performing extremely well at the box office. On receiving mostly good reviews, people are interested in watching it because they want to see what it’s all about and this is showing up in its booming business. And now there are strong indications that it will do exceptionally well abroad too – even better than here at home!
Now, just five days after its release, RRR has managed to draw in A$ 2.27 million [Rs. 12.97 cr] at the Australia box office; currently ranked as the 5th all-time highest grosser in Australia – surpassing collections of other notable films like PK which collected A$2.1 million, Dhoom3which collected A$1.75 million, and Tiger Zinda Hai that had collected A$1.60million – due to it’s early success despite only being released for a short time period of time, this film is likely set to break records and create new ones alike!
If that weren’t enough, films like RRR are still able to keep their audience’s attention and remain popular. Given the current trend, its likely the business of this film will surpass what Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion was able to make so far in Australia. In fact, trade estimates predict it could even make more than what Baahubali 2 earned within just one week at $2.4 million Australian Dollars
Interestingly, given the current status quo, RRR enjoys its wide release and of course the admiration it has received from audiences. It should come as no surprise if eventually, RR’s revenue outweighs that of Australia’s top-grossing film (Padmaavat) which had collected A$ 3.16 million.
