The blockbuster movies released earlier this year has been doing well commercially despite the downpour that happened. The volume of trade in cinematic language translates to 249 Crores! This denotes a 251% spike in trade values when compared with last year which was rated at 130 Cr. A diverse cross-section across India helped make up these numbers, as movie watchers from nearly every corner of the country contributed: Urban regions like Mumbai led the pack with collections totaling 650 million Rupees; also topping other key areas like Delhi/East UP combined total contributions close to 640 million Rupees!
It’s important to note some new upcoming independent markets gaining ground – places like Nizam AP and South Karnataka after witnessing growth respectively amounting to 140 million Rupees each. To sum it all up for now, there are about six months left before netting final results based on preliminary reports.
Going forward, the business of The Kashmir Files is expected to cross the Rs. 250 cr. mark over its fourth weekend running. Despite the new releases the film has maintained its trending in theatres.
