The Vivek Agnihotri directed The Kashmir Files is getting rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. With the film surpassing Rs. 100 crores worth of revenue it’s no wonder that it’s also breaking records for being an all-time Mumbai success. Crossing over Rs. 200 crores worth in just a matter of weeks, despite competition from other new releases, says enough about how well this movie is doing – even more so when you compare its success with other past films such as Ek Tha Tiger which only made around Rs. 65 million during the same time period here in Mumbai alone; ranking it 24th among the top 25 movies released before it here in Bombay region (Mumbai).
Going forward, it is predicted that the proceeds from The Kashmir Files will surpass those from Kick which brought in Rs. 66.02 crore and Bajirao Mastani which brought in Rs. 67.43 crore. With the current trends continuing- along with the benefit of having a Gudi Padva holiday this coming Saturday- there is much hope for an increasing profit margin for this film.
