This month, the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi had a tremendous response from both audiences and critics alike. Just one day after its release, this well-received project already boasted having accomplished a favorable total grossing amount on its first day at the box office. Though it was only shown in 1,300 screens domestically, which is about 100 less than average for an Indian film release overseas last year; Sooryavanshi still did quite well for itself with an impressive performance abroad.
Especially considering it was outdone by only 10 other Indian films that were released internationally last year, these figures are pretty decent if you ask me.
