The hugely successful movie Sooryavanshi released this month and was loved by critics and audiences alike. The movie did well over its first couple of weeks for both the Indian market and for foreign markets as well. In fact, it has grossed an impressive Rs. 246 crores so far after being released just 13 days ago.
Of that money, Rs. 194 crores came from the Indian market while Rs. 52 crores came from abroad, bringing the current amount to around Rs 248 crores total! What makes it especially notable is how despite being one of the most expensive Bollywood movies ever made (it cost nearly US$35 million), it succeeded where other recent high budget movies had failed – bringing people back out to theaters all across India and around the world.
