The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi that released a while back has been doing quite well at the box office so far. Opening with a successful start, it gradually made more money as time went on – earning an even greater sum than was expected during weekdays after its release in theaters. Already in its second week of running due to popular demand from viewers all around, it looks like this could be one of the most profitable Indian films since maybe forever. Recently, international sales have beaten those from Salman Khan’s Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai (not surprising given the comedian turned action hero) and chances are it will continue dominating for some time now.
Radhe collected close to 4.4 million AED within the UAE and GCC countries during its theatrical release, whereas Sooryavanshi accumulated close to 5.6 million AED at the same time during its duration. While Radhe was able to reach this number of audiences before concluding its cinematic run, it appears that there are still many people who are interested in seeing what Sooryavanshi offers after watching its initial screening.
This means that while both films were released at around the same time – they might actually be competing for different audiences which would make sense given the appearance of new releases coming soon. Trade predictions expect both films to stay afloat even if they do compete against one another but only time will tell whether these predictions come true or not!
