Akshay Kumar’s latest film Sooryavanshi has been having an exceptional run ever since it came out last week. Both domestically and abroad the Rohit Shetty-directed movie was met with wonderful reviews from audiences. It even went on to make a lot of money in just one day when it opened earlier this month.
Ever since then, Sooryavanshi maintained an excellent performance at the cinema halls abroad – surpassing Mission Mangal’s success there – and now boasts a total overseas income worth $7.36 million (INR 54 crore). Ironically enough, it is because of Akshay’s portrayal of Prem in this feature which catapulted his performances onscreen past Bollywood actors such as Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan for his place amongst India’s highest-grossing stars in international markets!
