The S.S Rajamouli directed, RRR has been both unstoppable and unopposed since its release a few weeks ago. Following an impressive opening weekend full of sales, the film continued to amaze viewers for two consecutive weekends until now on its third week of release. And after posting sales worth Rs.231 cr., the recent box office report showcases that the numbers are just only getting bigger by each passing day when considering totals accumulated so far– with Sunday earnings totaling around Rs.24 crore!
Clearly overtaking today’s latest releases like The Kashmir Files which collected only Rs.20 crore thus bringing in another feather in its cap; besides many others too who’ve never seen past their own first three days at the theaters such as Kabir Singh where sales total up to around Rs.22 crore, Sanju–whose cumulative coming up short was aroundRs21 cr., Bajirao Mastani–which fell short of expectations by close to 18 crores!.
Going forward with the Yash starrer KGF- Chapter 2 slated for release soon, it is predicted that director SS Rajamouli’s film RRR will suffer a decline in business. However, trade predictions say that even though the new release takes up much of screens’ time slots, people will still buy tickets to watch his movie.
