Close to 9 crore rupees separated these three big-ticket releases at theaters – Antim – The Final Truth, Satyameva Jayate 2 and Sooryavanshi. Antim – The Final Truth had the best collections among all of them on opening day alone. It was followed by Satyameva Jayate 2 which was released Thursday last week while Sooryavanshi managed to rake in some audience even though it has been playing for four weeks now.
Let us discuss the Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer first. It amassed mixed reviews but good numbers at single screens with Rs. 5 crores made in Maharashtra alone. Ironically, this is where the 50% occupancy rules are also applied so some may have seen a small effect when it comes to filling up theaters (such as those rules). Now we just need to see whether or not there will be an increase for tomorrow onwards; because if there is then we’ll be looking at a successful week coming our way!
