The Milan Luthria directed film Tadap starring Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria was released yesterday. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala the film’s premiere that happed a few days back saw the who’s who from the industry in attendance. Given its scale, promotional campaign and what it means for Sunil Shetty’s son – it could only be assumed that this magnum opus would do well at the box office with estimates of what it will make before it releases being pretty accurate so far.
In this film review, we take a look at the opening day earnings for Tadap which was released on June 15th. Having collected Rs. 4.05 crore on its first day, Tadap has become one of the top three highest grossing Indian films of 2021 so far. At number two is Sooryavanshi which earned Rs. 26.29 crores and sitting at number one are Antim – The Final Truth with earnings totaling to an impressive Rs. 5 crore – with only few others coming close to that accomplishment including Satyameva Jayate 2 which earned approximately Rs. 3.6 crore, followed by Roohi which earned Rs. 3 crore, Mumbai Saga earning approximately rsRs 2 crore, Bellbottom earning approximately rsRs2 lakhs, followed by Bunty Aur Babli 2 which earned around rsRs2 lakhs.
