After collecting Rs. 2.25 crores on Monday, Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria starrer Tadap maintained a decent hold onto its audience’s interest as well. The Sajid Nadiadwala production collected Rs. 2.01 crores more and as a result, the total now stands at Rs. 17.78 crores
Of course, had these been the opening weekend collections of the film then it would have enjoyed an even healthier box office total during its lifetime. However, this is where the Milan Luthria directed film stands currently and considering the unpredictability at the box office for new releases – the fact that it has still been decent enough is great news indeed.
Ditto for Antim – The Final Truth which is now officially the second highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2021 after surpassing Bell Bottom lifetime. The film brought in Rs. 75 lakhs* more on Tuesday which has pushed its lifetime further to Rs. 36.15 crores*. Again, given the fact that Salman Khan stars in a prominent role here, the film could well have enjoyed this as a first week total with more coming in weeks to follow. However, for now the Mahesh Manjrekar directed film would settle in the vicinity of Rs. 40 crores lifetime.* With action set pieces liberally peppered throughout and strong performances from Aayush Sharma, there are enough reasons why audiences should give this flick another go around at least once or twice before it leaves theatres.*
Despite being effected by the pandemic, Akshay Kumar went about things as normal – delivering a successful performance in both trade and social media. His Sooryavanshi may have lost Rs. 200 crores lifetime but he rose back up to claim his spot among the top few stars of Bollywood who always deliver what they promise. Rohit Shetty’s latest film also seems unaffected by any circumstances that would affect its chance at success- it collected Rs. 193.80* crores so far which is no small feat when you consider how low India’s GDP per capita was this year. On Tuesday, the film raked in an additional Rs. 20 lakhs*. With only 5 weeks left until its release date, one can’t deny that most critics seem positive about this movie (despite having seen it on oToTV).
