All predictions made around the first day box office collections of Spider-Man: No Way Home have been slaughtered, and how. It was mentioned in this very column that the film could end up taking an opening of Rs. 15-18 crores and that too, by the way, would have been huge. However, what actually happened on the very first day of release was something so incredible and phenomenal that it has broken all records set even before its theatrical release.
Released just last Thursday, the film managed to collect a whopping Rs. 32.67 crores – double of what it could have made if things went well; and this is all on top of that! One can’t deny how popular the movie was even before its release, but it’s hard to overlook how amazing the marketing team in charge of promoting this project has done so far. They started out with advanced bookings for premium screens ahead of time, which led to people going house-to-house trying to figure out where they could watch something big coming their way – needless to say this had people already hyped up a day or two before its official premiere date!
It was apparent that there was a lot of excitement surrounding Spider-man: No Way Home. Numbers started flowing through in an unstoppable fashion, causing early booked showings to be immediately filled on this Sunday morning. It is already crossing its first hundred million rupees during these four long days alone – something we will just have to see if it can keep up this coming week when Tuesday passes us by. All said and done though, they will earn enough money where they don’t even need the other eighty three days this year combined!
