The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film Chhichhore starring the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput that was released in 2019 had opened on a good note only to have been afflicted by an increasingly deadly pandemic. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, however, it still managed to bring in 2.07 million USD [Rs. 15.31 cr.] within the span of one week while competing against big Hollywood films such as Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, and Alita: Battle Angel.
With much lesser business than the aforementioned blockbuster films from India (i.e., Baahubali – The Conclusion, Secret Superstar, Dangal), Chhichhore nevertheless continues running steadily due to anticipation for its stable performance over the course of time.
