In the history of Indian Cinema, there have been a few stars from South India who were able to score big with their Hindi remakes of their own movies. These few individuals include actor Prabhas and actor Rajinikanth. Actor Prabhas was able to make the list three times- for Baahubali – The Beginning, Baahubali – The Conclusion, and Saaho- while actor Rajinikanth only made it once so far- with 2.0 (Akshay Kumar starred as an antagonist in that movie). It’s looking like now Allu Arjun will be joining them very soon though; his latest blockbuster Pushpa has also performed phenomenally well in its English remake.
After earning more than Rs. 1.35 crores since release, the film’s total box office earnings are over Rs. 94.56 crores – which is an excellent result given how much ground there still left to cover for the movie in order to achieve success. All thanks to the huge 26th January public holiday – a break everyone at Bollywood took advantage of! And if it wasn’t for Monday being followed by another weekend, Tuesdays profit would only be at ten percent instead of 25%.
Friday should also increase and Saturday morning might not really need us fretting so much anymore because there will be more people coming back who were away during work hours on Thursday or Friday! With good luck on our side we’ll reach a whopping Rs. 12 lakhs today (Wednesday) – which will greatly improve the film’s performance going forward!
