Last December we had seen the release of Pushpa: The Rise—Part 1, starring actor Allu Arjun. Lasting since then and dubbed in Hindi, this South Indian film has been performing well up until now; its performance only grew stronger over time as it slowly gained traction week-over-week. Until finally it managed to reach a new benchmark of success worth celebrating at 100 crores or more.
Crossing 100 crores in 45 days, Pushpa has now become the fifth fastest South Indian Hindi dubbed movie to achieve this milestone. The leading runners-up include Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Rs. 128 crore), which was released three days ago; 2.0 (Rs. 131 crore), released four days ago; Saaho (Rs. 102 crore), released five days ago; and Bahubali – The Beginning (Rs. 100 crore), released 23 days ago
Currently, Pushpa: The Rise still continues to run in theatres and is expected to draw in further collections until the next big ticket release hits screens in February.
