After Rajkummar Rao’s Roohi the silence of theatres after the first wave of pandemic, his new film Badhaai Do has continued the feat following the third wave. Roohi achieved a lifetime total of 26 crores, while Badhaai Do is expected to end its run at around 22-24 crores. Unfortunately, the performance could have been better considering that the situation has largely stabilized, and people’s inclination to watch movies in theatres is much more positive, evident from the success of Pushpa [Hindi], which managed to cross the 100 Crore Club.
