Yet again this Saturday brought good returns for Mission Mangal. The trend continues among viewers who have always come out in support of this film since it was first released. This led to the movie being able to collect Rs. 3.50 crores* more and with that, its total earnings are now at about Rs. 183.11 crores*. It took less than 17 days for Mission Mangal to surpass the lifetime earnings from Bang Bang which amounted to around Rs 180 crore*.
Next target for the Jagan Shakti directed film is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani which had a lifetime number of Rs. 188 crores. That number should be surpassed by Tuesday, if not Monday, and post that the film would be throwing a challenge to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani [Rs. 188.92 crores] and 2.0 [Hindi] [Rs. 189.55 crores]. There was only one movie in history which reached 198 crore rupees with its earnings – Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan – but Mission Mangal will soon enter the 90s club too!
