It is back to the stressful 90s for Mission Mangal. While it may have reached Rs. 100 Crore Club within a matter of days and therefore never needed to worry about being successful from that point onward, there would be additional pressure on everyone associated with the film now that it has already crossed over Rs. 190 crores mark.
On Tuesday, the film managed an additional 1.5 Crore*, which is a decent hold compared to Friday’s 2.2 Crores*. And so far, the film has collected approximitely Rs 191 crores* after collecting 1.5 crore today**.* Nowadays many films cross into the 200 Cr club but what needs to be seen is how soon will this happen? Meanwhile, two big films are releasing this week – Saaho on Thursday (which was released yesterday), and Chhichhore on Friday (expected to earn well over opening weekend).
So far the trend seems to imply that he will achieve his first 200 hundred points this week; after which, if he achieves more than two hundred additional points, they will only act as a bonus. As of now, the movie has surpassed expectations in a big idea way and it is intriguing to see that all four people who achieved 200 hundred points this year- Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bharat, Kabir Singh and Mission Mangal- were from different genres.
