Even if Saaho has not been doing so well in Southern parts of India, the film has been keeping its head afloat in the rest of India. On Saturday the 2nd day, another Rs.5 crores were added to the total earnings – evidencing this through comparison with both days before this (Friday 1st and Saturday 1st). As expected there is an extreme difference between these two days (almost Rs. 20 crores), as Friday had collected Rs.25.20 crores while Saturday only collected Rs.5 crore rupees*. Regardless, now that it has been proven that Saaho is still able to make money at home without giving up entirely; there are grounds for hope after all!
According to Forbes India, the Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer has collected Rs. 124.78 crores* now and is likely to make past the lifetime numbers of Raazi [Rs. 124 crores]. Other films including Akshay Kumar’s Airlift [Rs. 129 crores] and Rustom [Rs. 128 crores], as well as Stree [Rs. 130 crores] will probably be surpassed today as well; it’ll also be interesting to see how big Saaho turns out to be when we find out later tonight or tomorrow morning!
The film had a great start this weekend with footfalls worth about Rs 29-49 crore*. If it gets enough people at theaters over the next two weeks despite competition from other movies–especially those playing in multiplex theaters–it might make a lot more money than even they predicted earlier*.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
