Originally running on just 655 screens, the film increased its screen count to meet audience demands – going from a weekday release to being screened at a whopping 1,500 theaters nationwide!
Now entering its third consecutive day of bussiness, there has been an encouraging rise in collections. Already the film has garnered over Rs. 26 Cr after barely four days and seeing revenue grow drastically within these last few hours indicates it won’t take long before this figure can reach close to 100 crore rupees. And while any new release typically would sell more tickets than older ones due to how fresh they are – if one were to compare all records post-pandemic , then it would turn out that the momentum for The Kashmir Files is showing higher numbers than those previously held by other releases such as Sooryavanshi (day 2 was 9 CR) or Gangubai Kathiawadi (8 CR). And with viewership growing at an incredible rate (current estimates say 92% in just 24 hrs), what seemed impossible until now seems like a certainty – whether we speak about predictions made just ten hours ago or tomorrow evening’s possible business which looks set to exceed 100 crores!
