The much-talked-about Marathi film Dharmaveer made its debut last week on Friday, drawing crowds of moviegoers and positive reviews alike. With Bollywood actor Salman Khan in attendance alongside Uddhav Thackrey and Aditya Thackrey – who acted as producers for the project – Dharmaveer had a strong start to the weekend with Rs.2.05 cr (approximately $33 million) grossing over one day in sales. The second weekend was just as successful for DharmaVeer, earning the company Rs.3.86 cr (approximately $68 million).
There were slightly fewer screenings available this time around owing to other Bollywood films being released at the same time but nonetheless DharmaVeer continued to perform well without any hiccups thus far! Trade analyst predicts that DharmaVeer’s success will only grow through future weeks, maintaining steady profits even during peak theater hours thanks to India’s ongoing holiday season.
