देवकी और वसुदेव को कैसे मिला श्री कृष्ण के माता पिता बनने का सौभाग्य?
देवकी और वसुदेव पूर्व जन्म में पृश्नि और सुतपा नाम के प्रजापति थे. दोनों ने 12 हज़ार वर्ष तक तपस्या की. भगवान ने प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें दर्शन दिए.
राधा रानी जी का मनमोहक भजन: झूला झूलो री राधे रानी
उन दोनों ने भगवान से कहा, ” हमें आपके जैसा पुत्र चाहिए “.
भगवान उनकी भक्ति से इतने प्रसन्न थे उन्होंने तीन बार कहा, ” तथास्तु, तथास्तु, तथास्तु.”
इस लिए भगवान श्री हरि उस जन्म उनके पुत्र बने और पृश्नि गर्भ नाम से विख्यात हुए.

दुसरे जन्म में श्री हरि,अदिति और देव ऋषि कश्यप के पुत्र बने. उनका नाम था उपेन्द्र. छोटा आकर होने के कारण उनके अवतार को “वामन ” भी कहा जाता है.
अपने तीसरे जन्म में वह दोनों देवकी और वसुदेव के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए. और श्री कृष्ण के रूप में श्री हरि ने जन्म लिया.
जब उन दोनों ने वर मांगा था कि हमें आप जैसा पुत्र पैदा हो तो श्री हरि ने तीन बार उन्हें तथास्तु कह दिया. पर उन्होंने ने सोचा कि मेरे जैसा तो मैं ही हूँ. उस लिए उन्होंने अपने वर को सच करने के लिए तीन बार स्वंय जन्म लिया और उन्हें तीन बार अपने माता पिता बनने का मोका दिया.
श्याम की बंशी की धुन: उड़ गई रे नींदिया मेरी, बंसी श्याम ने बजाई रे
देवकी और वसुदेव जी के विवाह के बाद जब कंस अपनी बहन देवकी की विदाई कर रहा था तो आकाशवाणी हुई की तुम्हारी बहन का आठवा पुत्र तुम्हारी मौत का कारण बनेगा. कंस तो देवकी को मारना चाहता था परंतु वसुदेव जी ने वादा किया कि वो सभी संतानों को उसे सौंप देगें, इस प्रकार उन्होंने ने देवकी की जान बचा ली.कंस ने देवकी और वसुदेव जी को जेल में कैद कर दिया.
देवकी और वसुदेव ने अपने छह पुत्र कंस को दे दिए. उनके सातवें पुत्र हुए ‘बलराम’ , जिसे योग माया ने माँ रोहिणी के गर्भ में संरक्षित कर दिया. बलराम जी ने माँ रोहिणी के यहा जन्म लिया.इस लिए बलराम जी को संकर्षण भी कहा जाता है.
कृष्ण जी का प्यारा भजन: बांके बिहारी से प्यार है
जब उनकी आठवीं संतान श्री कृष्ण जी का जन्म हुआ. उस समय जेल के दरवाजे अपने आप खुल गए और जेल के पहरेदार सो गए. वसुदेव जी, ठाकुर जी के कहने पर उनको टोकरी में रखकर जा रहे थे तो यमुना नदी उफान पर थी. यमुना श्री कृष्ण के चरण स्पर्श करना चाहती थी इसलिए श्री कृष्ण ने अपना पैर टोकरी में से बाहर निकाला और चरण स्पर्श करते ही यमुना जी ने वासुदेव जी को जाने का रास्ता दे दिया.
वासुदेव जी श्री कृष्ण को नंद और यशोदा जी की बिटिया योग माया से बदल लाए. जब कंस ने योग माया को मारने का प्रयास किया तो योग माया ने कंस को बता दिया तुम्हे मारने वाला गोकुल में पैदा हो गया है और यह कह कर योग माया गायब हो गई.
बिहारी जी का मधुर भजन: वृन्दावन के ओ बांके बिहारी
कंस ने उस समय जितने भी बालक वहाँ पैदा हुए थे सबको मार देने का आदेश दिया. उस ने श्री कृष्ण को मरवाने के लिए कई राक्षस भेजे. लेकिन नारद जी ने कंस को बता दिया कि बलराम और कृष्ण ही देवकी और वसुदेव के पुत्र है .
कंस ने देवकी और वसुदेव को दोबारा बेड़ियों में बांध दिया. उनको छुड़ाने के लिए श्री कृष्ण को मथुरा आना पड़ा. उन्होंने कंस का वध कर दिया और अपने माता- पिता को छुड़ा लिया.

In the second birth, Shri Hari became the son of Aditi and Dev Rishi Kashyap. His name was Upendra. Because of his small size, his incarnation is also called “Vaman“.
In his third birth, both of them became famous as Devaki and Vasudev. And Shri Hari was born as Shri Krishna.
When both of them asked for a boon that a son like you should be born to them, Shri Hari told them thrice. But he thought that I am like me. That’s why he took birth himself thrice to make his groom come true and gave him a chance to become his parents thrice.

After the marriage of Devaki and Vasudev, when Kansa was bidding farewell to his sister Devaki, it was heard from the sky that the eighth son of your sister would be the cause of your death. Kansa wanted to kill Devaki but Vasudev ji promised that he would hand over all the children to him, thus he saved Devaki’s life. Kansa imprisoned Devaki and Vasudev in jail.
Devaki and Vasudev gave their six sons to Kansa. His seventh son was ‘Balram’, who was protected by Yoga Maya in the womb of mother Rohini. Balram ji took birth at mother Rohini’s place. That’s why Balram ji is also called Sankarshan.

When his eighth child Shri Krishna was born. At that time the doors of the jail opened automatically and the guards of the jail fell asleep. When Vasudev ji was going by keeping him in a basket on the advice of Thakur ji, the Yamuna river was in spate. Yamuna wanted to touch the feet of Shri Krishna, so Shri Krishna took his foot out of the basket and as soon as he touched the feet, Yamuna ji gave way to Vasudev ji.
Vasudev ji replaced Shri Krishna with Nanda and Yashoda ji’s daughter Yog Maya. When Kansa tried to kill Yog Maya, Yog Maya told Kansa that the one who killed you was born in Gokul and saying this, Yog Maya disappeared.

Kansa ordered to kill all the children who were born there at that time. He sent many demons to get Shri Krishna killed. But Narad ji told Kansa that Balaram and Krishna are the sons of Devaki and Vasudev.
Kansa again tied Devaki and Vasudev in chains. Shri Krishna had to come to Mathura to get rid of them. He killed Kansa and rescued his parents.
