As the shooting of the final episode has been wrapped up, the ‘Devata’ series was given a fond farewell in the form of an arathi. A video was posted showing the conclusion in a temple of relationships, signifying the end of the Devata serial. It has been a long journey of 691 episodes, airing since August 2020, that had to come to an end. The actors of the series informed through Instagram that it is time to say goodbye to ‘Devata’.
As Devata’s finale approaches, the actress starring in the show took to her Instagram to release a video announcing the series’s end, saying: Devata serial has come to an end… We’ll be back soon with Part 2. We are so grateful for all of the support we’ve received from viewers. To give a fitting close to Devata, a brand new serial will be premiered to audiences this Friday.
This gripping serial, Sister, Sister, has charmed audiences for nearly two and a half years with its intriguing love triangle. Lead actors Suhasini, portraying Rukmini, and Arjun Ambati as Aditya are especially noteworthy. Alongside them, various characters such as Satya, Madhava, Devi, Chinmayi, Bhagyamma, Devdamma, Kamala, Suri, Ranga, and Rajamma, were cast to give the story more depth and intrigue.
The younger sister makes a huge sacrifice and gives up her beloved for her older sister, who she loves immensely. Little does she know that her elder sister’s husband is actually her own beloved. Later, her older sister is nowhere to be seen, making everyone believe she has died. She gives birth to a child, living a secluded life, taking shelter with a mysterious man. When she leaves, the younger sister’s lover takes her place as husband, but even so, his girlfriend’s memories remain close to his heart. The serial ‘Devata’ lasted for two and a half years, as the story revolves around finding his wife alive, when everyone assumed she had perished.
The foremost trait of this series, its characters – Arjun Ambati and Suhasini, made the series a great success. Furthermore, children were elated. Aahana Barfi, playing the character of Devi, was immensely loved and cherished by viewers. Her portrayal of a child caught in between her parents was truly exemplary.
Despite seeming slightly overstretched in the middle, Dewata serial managed to get a good rating in the points table. Despite the scope to progress further, the show was abruptly stopped. Nevertheless, the upcoming release of Dewata 2 brings much joy and relief for the fans of Dewata serial.
