Following the less–than–satisfactory performance of Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar has returned in a brand new role – as a cop! He’s starring in Cuttputlli, which is a Hindi remake of Ratsasudu. The Hindi film industry is going through somewhat turbulent times and even its most famous stars are struggling to draw people into the cinemas. Akshay Kumar spoke out on this problem at the trailer launch for his newest movie. Despite Raksha Bandhan not quite capturing hearts across India, he expressed his hopes that Cuttputlli will have more success.
During a conversation with the press, Akshay broached the subject of movies underperforming at the box office and voiced his determination to learn more about viewers. “The lack of success is due to me,” he stated. “I’m the one that needs to change, try to understand what people desire from films, as well as switch up my techniques in order for them to become better. I take full responsibility for not hitting it big at cinemas.”
On September 2nd, Cuttputlli will make its premiere on Disney+ Hotstar – accessible to all subscribers of the platform. In the US, the show will be available exclusively on Hulu for streaming.
