Saturday saw an upswing for Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando 3, collecting Rs. 5.64 crores, an increase from Friday’s earnings of Rs. 4.74 crores. Even with 2541 screens available to screen the film, the franchise has its own set of boundaries that this number fits into reasonably well.
At present, Vipul Shah’s production stands at Rs. 10.38 crores, and there are expectations that it will rise further today. Whether or not this surge will help Commando 3 to come close to the Rs. 17 crores mark before the end of the weekend is yet to be seen. If this comes true, then there is potential for it to strengthen over the following weekdays.
With the arrival of two highly anticipated films, Panipat and Pati Patni Aur Woh, on Friday, Commando 3 must do well this weekend if it hopes to sustain momentum through its second week. Since the two releases will take up a significant number of screens, Commando 3 must make an impact to ensure success in days to come.
