The success of Marjaavaan in its opening week is remarkable; it raked in an impressive Rs. 37.87 crores at the box office, securing itself a place amongst the highest grossers of 2019. Although there was a slight decline from Wednesday’s collections of Rs. 3.16 to Thursday’s Rs. 2.53 crore, it is not too concerning as throughout the rest of the weekdays revenue was consistently above the Rs. 3 crore mark.
Milap Zaveri’s directorial venture is anticipated to make a further 8-10 crore collection in its second weekend, leading the Emmay and T-Series production close to the Rs. 50 crores benchmark. This partnership was previously successful in their collaboration for Batla House earlier this year and whatever revenue it garners thereafter would be considered a bonus.
2019 has been a successful year for Marjaavaan’s actors; Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie has concluded their year on an upbeat note and provided them with cause to celebrate.
