Commando 3’s release on 2456 screens is quite impressive for a franchise which has, in the past, seen each installment gross a lifetime of Rs. 25 crores. This success can also be attributed to its being released at an opportune moment when no other films were competing for box office collections.
Although the collections could have been better, the groundwork has been set and this could lead to a promising weekend if viewership rises on Saturday and Sunday. Commando’s first-day collection of Rs. 3.69 crores was surpassed by Commando 2, bringing in Rs. 5.15 crores on its debut day. It will be exciting to see how far Commando 3 can take it from here.
