Both Mardaani 2 and Pati Patni aur Woh experienced an increase on Saturday. There was little doubt that this would happen – both movies had been brought down when Dabangg 3 released on Friday – but now, it’s time for them to get back up again.
Mardaani 2 earned nearly double the amount it did on Saturday as compared to Friday which also managed fairly well with its earnings of Rs 1.15 crores. Together they have made Rs 31.15 crores so far – but are still rather shy of what they’re expected to make when all is said and done, close to the 34 crore mark. It seems like the film will soon cross this milestone too, though perhaps not by much. Nevertheless, Mardaani 2 has been an astonishing success story thus far; and it seems inevitable that we’ll see a lifetime collection between 40-50 crores before long!
As for Pati Patni aur Woh, the movie has been doing well making Rs 150 million** since being released. It is still playing in theatres and has collected 79 crores** so far. The Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday starrer might have crossed 80 crore this morning which would make it another milestone hit but because of new releases such as Mardaani 2, Jumanji: The Next Level, Dabangg 3 and Good News – this movie will probably only break even at around 85 crore.
