There is no halting Good Newwz. It continues to boast a successful stay in the theaters with Friday’s collection totaling at Rs. 8.10 crores – an insignificant decrease from Thursday’s total of Rs. 10.80 crores- making this even more telling than before.
The Raj Mehta directed film has been out now for a while and will most likely last a lot longer. There are no strong contenders to take over the box office this coming week, so it will probably make even more money than what it already has. The movie will get at least Rs. 22 crore more by tomorrow – maybe much more if people start going to see it again soon enough.
The movie has already collected Rs. 135 crore and is expected to pass over Rs. 150 crore before the end of the second week, but only time will tell if it reaches this milestone or not. The last time these two filmmakers collaborated on a film together was with ‘Kesari’ which earned Rps. 154.41 crores in its lifetime – so we’re optimistic that they’ll reach this mark soon enough!
The film is already a blockbuster and if it keeps going at this pace, then it will definitely achieve the sought after blockbuster status.
