After opening to excellent reviews, Good News had its first drop on the third Friday. The film brought in Rs. 2.07 crores more which is nearly a 50% decrease from previous days’ figures of Rs. 4.05 crores
After the release of Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior and Chhapaak, viewers stopped coming to watch Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani’s film which would have been having a steady run so far had it not been for these two films.
Nevertheless, the Raj Mehta directed movie that was released this past Friday is one that should receive an increase in ticket sales over this upcoming weekend. Particularly today when people from more metropolitan areas are likely to come out because they’re off from work or school. Today alone, at least Rs. 3 crores were made but we shouldn’t be surprised if there are even higher totals of Rs.3.5 crores either.
The movie has so far made a staggering amount of Rs. 183.43 crores and its next goal would be to cross the Rs. 190 crores mark before the third weekend ends.
