After bringing in Rs. 2.07 crores on Friday, Good Newwz showed an increase of nearly 50% on Saturday to collect Rs. 3.06 crores at the box office! Though the number seems great on a relative scale, it was expected for the movie to do much better and surpass the 3.50 crores mark – especially since it is playing so well in theaters nationwide.
The film would have had many more viewers if it weren’t for other, even bigger movies coming out at the same time. For example, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, Chhapaak and Darbar all came out in theaters around the same time which took away a lot of potential viewers. However, we can see that Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is performing well which has caused audiences to divert their attention from this movie.
Still, the job is more than done for the biggie as it has already collected Rs. 186.49 crores so far. The film would easily surpass the 190 crore mark today and then its journey towards being a blockbuster begins during this week alone.
