The movie- star ensemble of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar titled 2.0 was recently released in India and abroad too though it appears to have been tougher than expected for it to perform at the China box office despite making headlines among Hindi film makers with its astonishingly high production budget. Though it opened solidly with USD 1.37 million coming in just on Day 1, unfortunate trends followed as the days passed by because this business never did rise past USD 3million even after having accrued 6 days worth of revenue (roughly Rs 20 crores).
In what might come as a surprise, 2.0 soon vanished from theaters all together when newer releases pushed it out until those multiplexes were overcrowded again or when people who wanted tickets couldn’t find anything else showing on schedule – either way these were lesser earnings for an anticipated mega blockbuster given how celebrated the trailer was online before this film came out!
