The Indian-filmed movie Chhichhore opened in China just last week and has already seen moderate success. The opening weekend saw a gross of 1.7 million USD [Rs. 12.60 cr] for the film – ranking 16th among other similar films that were released before it. Collecting more money than ventures such as Kaabil (USD1.85million or Rs 13, 710,000) and Sultan (USD3.01million or Rs 22,310,000), Chhichhore has been predicted to do even better during its first few days at the Chinese box office before seeing numbers fall off from thereon out due to inflation rates rising over time post its release date – though never reaching such numbers previously attained by these two past titles mentioned here above it for comparison sake only).
Given the current situation of economic stagnation and the hindrance of new movie productions from happening due to this epidemic, it is most likely that Chhichhore will have a successful debut in China. Furthermore, because it also shares a story similar to those which audiences in China empathized with before- it just might do even better than its predecessors.
