The Ajay Devgn-Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior was released a while ago and since then it’s been doing stellar business at the box office. It was recently declared an unprecedented success after beating Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, whose reign over Indian theatres had gone unchallenged for months now. On its fifth week, Tanhaji is still going strong despite big titles such as Padmaavat being released.
Collecting an impressive Rs.7.36 crores on its fifth weekend, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior achieved an all-time second-highest fifth weekend gross of all time. With over Rs. 1 crore more than both Baahubali 2 and Dangal at over Rp7 crores each, it’s no surprise that this unstoppable juggernaut shows no signs of slowing down with no less than one month left before its release date finally ends (April 27th).
Already occupying top spots across India, including Mumbai which made up for 78% of the total collections from the opening weekend itself and Delhi which comprised of 43% on its opening day itself, it’s not surprising then how such grand numbers were attained so quickly.
