War continues to prove itself on Monday with a huge collection of Rs. 2.10 crores. Compared to all other Bollywood and Hollywood releases in theatres right now, War has collected almost double the amount, demonstrating its strong popularity in this otherwise sluggish pre-Diwali period.
War has already earned a whopping Rs. 304 crores and is predicted to reach the staggering figure of Rs. 310 crores before the week’s end. While this star–studded cast consisting of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff have undoubtedly brought about a success, the big question remains if it will be able to sustain itself with the competition Housefull 4 brings along in the same week. Even though it faces severe reductions in theatre screenings due to its new counterpart, this October season may very well turn out as its saving grace, making sure that War still continues to entertain audiences over this period of time.
Housefull 4 and Dabangg 3 are up against some serious competition as they join films like Uri – The Surgical Strike, Kabir Singh, and Mission Mangal on the list of highest–grossing films of this year. It remains to be seen if these two movies can eclipse the box office record set by their predecessors before the calendar turns to a new year.
