Akshay Kumar’swas one of the first films to be released in the U.A.E/G.C.C territory after the theatres reopened. Unfortunately, there was a reluctance among audiences to venture into cinema houses. Nonetheless, the movie has grossed approximately AED 718k [Rs. 1.45 cr] over the extended weekend in the region.
Laxmii opened with a successfuldebut of AED 162,210 on Monday, November 9. Unfortunately, its subsequent two days saw a dramatic fall in earnings. Fortunately, Thursday and Friday redeemed the film, nearly doubling their collection at AED 129,944 and AED 153,002 respectively.
On the mid-week of the week Laxmii experienced an upsurge in sales within the U.A.E/G.C.C market; however, this was not enough to suggest that people were yet comfortable to venture out to public places amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
