Earlier today, Indian cinema’s greatest hope for the future arrived in theaters across North America: Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor. While it opened internationally on Wednesday- one day earlier than its anticipated debut in India – posters still proclaimed Coming Soon while trailers were often muted or played out of order with local content.
One might expect any film to perform better outside its home country due to unfamiliarity but when it comes to large Bollywood movies, do we make assumptions based solely off small sample sizes?
