Following the accomplishment of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, it is time for the sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, to be released in theaters. Who would have guessed that a franchise would be created based on such a title? Yet again, producer Aanand L Rai has taken a unique approach to the topic, and developed an intriguing series of films.
The release of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which was about the delicate issue of erectile dysfunction, left many speculating about its potential to be accepted by the audience. Fortunately, thanks to well–thought–out promotion and marketing strategies, the movie featuring Ayushmann Khurranna and Bhumi Pednekar was successfully directed to its target audience. It was no blockbuster, yet it became a pleasant surprise and generated decent profits in relation to its cost.
The expectations from Ayushmann Khurranna and Jitender Singh starrer, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, remain similar. Again, there is a middle class setup, ensuring that costs are in check. The film may not immediately appeal to a wide audience, however its look and feel is highly relatable to family atmospheres. Its first day box office collections are expected to be in the range of Rs. 8-9 crores and then it will be all about how the storyline connects to the masses.
