Marjaavaan proved to be quite successful at the box office. In its first week, it collected a decent Rs. 37.87 crores, but saw a significant drop in the second week with only Rs. 8.57 crores gained. While originally it appeared likely that the film would reach a lifetime total of Rs. 55 crores, now its uncertain if it can manage even the Rs. 50 crore mark.
The film has already earned a gross of Rs. 46.44 crores, with daily earnings fluctuating between Rs. 85 lakhs to Rs. 1 crore in the weekdays. Unfortunately, it was unable to achieve great success at multiplexes, however single-screen theaters have seen an influx of people going to watch it steadily. Had the theater seats not been taken over by Pagalpanti’s release, this film would probably have achieved more than Rs. 50 crores until now.
Milap Zaveri’s direction provides Sidharth Malhotra with a much-needed boost and now we wait to see how well his Shershaah does when it releases in 2020.
