On Saturday, after seeing a bit of success following its premiere on Friday, Love Aaj Kal managed to take in an additional Rs. 8.10 crores – which brings the total revenue so far to Rs. 28.51 crores. This is a positive step forward for a film that has had some minor struggles but seems to be getting back up its feet again thanks to favourable reviews and word-of-mouth praise from critics who have seen it over the weekend; although if this trend could continue throughout the week would be yet unknown territory for Imtiaz Ali’s newest directorial venture thus far.
Malang stayed fair on its second Sunday as Rs. 3.25 crores more came in, but the effect was not strong enough for people with ties to the movie- which had already gained a little over 47.6 crores in just two weeks time! With 50 crores crossed before the end of week two (and possibly even 100!) we will see if there are any other surprises coming our way from this critically acclaimed masterpiece that has so far amassed 271 crore rupees (1.4 billion). Meanwhile, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior raced along on its own path after adding another 1.4 crore rupees to its total- currently sitting at 272.93 crores, it might be able to reach 280 crore rupees by the end of all things combined
