Housefull 4 had a solid Saturday, earning an additional 18.81 crores. Its Friday total was 19.08 crores, making for a promising start to the weekend. Usually movies will experience growth on Saturdays, but in this particular pre-Diwali phase, collections tend to decline instead of increasing due to Diwali occurring on a Sunday – typically the highest grossing day of any film’s release period.
The box office results for the film are quite impressive, especially in light of some unfavorable criticism. This shows that the movie is finding its own audience. A similar situation occurred a couple months ago with Saaho, which was successful during its first few days; thus, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios are aiming for strong weekend figures before Monday arrives and expectedly higher grossings all around.
The movie has made Rs. 37.89 crore in box office earnings, and it is likely that the total will exceed Rs. 50 crores by the end of the weekend. Anything more than this amount would be considered a great success for Akshay Kumar’s film.
