Good News continues its ascent into the Rs. 200 Crore Club. It made another Rs. 3.60 crores on Sunday, a 20% increase from Saturday’s Rs. 3.06 crores profit. Though it had been predicted that it would reach the four crore-mark today, there was still some stiff competition form Taraji P Henson’s new release Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior which may have slowed down this process just slightly for director Raj Mehta’s project.
Nevertheless, this movie is still drawing crowds and has been doing so quite well so far. Its accumulated earnings are Rs. 190.09 crores so far – but it needs to make another Rs. 10 crores in order to enter the Rs. 200 Crore Club. It should be able to do so during the upcoming week, which means that the next couple weeks will decide whether or not the film will reach its goal of accumulating Rs. 220 crore total earnings at box offices globally. This is great news for both Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan who had two movies released last year (Kedarnath as well as Blackmail) do very well at theaters nationwide!
