Everyone connected to Chhichhore can finally take solace in the fact that they made something worthwhile. After a respectable opening day of Rs. 7.32 crore, the movie was poised for greatness with its reviews already being overwhelmingly positive. The only thing left to determine is if people would show up and watch it- which they did! On Saturday, thanks to an increased number of ticket sales, Chhichhore collected an additional Rs. 12.25 crore total, bringing its grand total to Rs 18.57 crore so far–an impressive achievement for lead actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma who now have some hope back in their careers!
The film has now already collected Rs. 19.57 crores and there is more to come, what with today being Sunday. If the film continues to grow at the same pace, there is a good possibility of reaching up to the Rs. 35 Crore mark in its first weekend run – which also seems possible due to Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release Kedarnath collecting almost identical numbers over its opening weekend debut – but this time with an even better word-of-mouth performance for Chhichhore than his previous releases ever could claim for themselves.
Sajid Nadiadwala made sure to do his best while working on the film. He knew that a movie like this would need careful consideration and as a producer, he hoped for the best outcome possible. In fact, with such talented actors involved in this project, there was no way for it not to succeed- the only question was how much success there would be when all was said and done!
