Bala was off to a good start at the box office with Rs. 1.71 crores, just short of yesterday’s projected healthy figure of Rs. 1.75 crores; thus far the movie has generated an impressive total revenue of Rs. 113.59 crores.
Daily collections of up to Rs. 50 lakhs would allow the film to near the total earnings of Rs. 116 crores, and even if a small number of patrons continue viewing, it is possible for the movie to gross Rs. 120 crores in its lifetime.
Last week, Bala saw a surge in audience footfalls due to the low-performance of Pagalpanti, and although this week posed a challenge from Commando 3, the film still managed to stay afloat. With its successful run so far, Bala is now confirmed as a super hit; the only question remaining is how much further it will go after premiering on television and digital platforms.
