Sunday saw a major uptick in the performance of Bala, as it collected Rs. 3.23 crores more in spite of its reduction in screens. The total gross stands at an impressive Rs. 105.87 crores, showing a lack of competition from other Hindi films.
Ayushmann Khurranna, Yami Gautam, and Bhumi Pednekar’s starrer is likely to near Rs. 110 crores by the end of the week and possibly exceed Rs. 120 crores in its lifetime. This would make it Ayushmann’s third highest grossing film after Dream Girl and Badhaai Ho. For producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik, this movie could be their second biggest hit behind Stree [Rs. 130 crores]. With a few chart-topping songs, Bala could have brought even greater success.
Despite the fact that several large-scale productions will debut in the last month of 2019, Bala is anticipated to remain among the Top 20 grossing movies of the year. Currently, it ranks within the 15 highest earners thus far.
