Without any Bollywood releases this week, Badhaai Do had the opportunity to capitalize on increased box office numbers prior to the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi next Friday. However, the first four days’ numbers show that the likelihood of any surge in revenue is unlikely. While it had a solid debut, its overall performance has not been overly impressive since.
On Friday, mere Rs. 0.70 crores* was earned, far lower than the Thursday earnings of Rs. 0.81 crores. Ideally, collections should have been similar, though the figures still would have been comparatively small. The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar film had seen growth during its opening week, as it received a positive boost on Saturday and Sunday. However, even with the possibility of a percentage increase, the numbers generated during the second weekend would still be relatively modest.
The collections for are projected to exceed Rs. 1 crore and potentially reach Rs. 1.5 crore, allowing the movie’s cumulative earnings to soar past Rs. 13.30 crores*. The film will have four more days in theaters before the Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt–led project arrives on February 25th.
Estimates. Final numbers awaited
