War has emerged victorious at the box office this weekend, leaving other films trailing in its wake. While it has been released on an impressive count of 2000 screens, audiences seem more inclined to choose it over any other new Hindi films, leading to decent if not extraordinary figures given the season. Nevertheless, War’s success marks a much–needed respite for filmgoers and the industry alike.
Although making use of the given conditions, War managed to gain a grand sum of Rs. 3.05 crores on Friday, leading its total collection to reach a grand total of Rs. 291.05 crores; merely leaving less than Rs 10 crores to join the coveted Rs 300 Crore Club. Whether this goal is achieved over the weekend itself depends on the increments in collections throughout Saturday and Sunday.
War, the much–anticipated Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff collaboration, has already made waves at the box office. Once it hits digital and satellite channels, this high–earning film is sure to exceed all expectations.
