The recently translated South Indian movie Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 has garnered massive attention at the box office. Proving to be one of the most profitable movies so far this year, people have come in droves to see it while also getting good reviews from audiences and critics alike. In truth, Pushpa still runs successfully in theaters, giving many moviegoers no other option than to come back for more (which would often mean changing when their release date). Perhaps a first for Lead Actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna – who just can’t seem to get enough?
With the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa: The Rise earning over Rs. 100 crores, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are now members of Bollywood’s prestigious Rs. 100 crore club. Previously only occupied by males – actors like Farhan Akhtar, Kartik Aaryan, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal – they now add another name to the list; that being Allu Arjun himself! Meanwhile in addition to adding her own name alongside those such as Amy Jackson, Esha Gupta, Tabu, Sara Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vaani Kapoor, and Vidya Balan; young actress Rashmika Mandanna also becomes a member of this illustrious group.
Though Pushpa: The Rise crossed the Rs. 100 crores mark within 45 days, it didn’t stop there and began to emerge as one of this year’s top performers in India. With an extended release, predictions are high that this movie will bring in more revenue – just like its predecessor did last year.
