Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a majority of theaters across India had been closed since March, and therefore, many movies were given a direct-to-OTT release. While theaters are slowly re-opening in the country at a 50% capacity, not many new releases will be coming to the big screen, with Laxmii being one of the few that has not seen a theatrical release, however, in India alone.
